Is Nest Recorder free?

Yes. Recording, editing, MP4 export, captions and the Word step guide are all free; you sign in with a free Integration Nest account. The free plan adds a small "Created with Nest Recorder" badge in the corner of the exported video.

What is the best way to record an SAP Integration Suite walkthrough?

Write what you plan to say as a script first. Nest Recorder shows it on screen while you record and hides it from the recording itself, so you can read without the viewer seeing it. Moving to the next block of the script marks a step, which becomes a chapter in the video and a section in the Word guide.

Can it hide passwords and tenant URLs from a recording?

Yes. You can blur, pixelate or black out any area of the picture, for the whole video or from one moment on, and the same areas are hidden in the screenshots used by the step guide and any blog post.

Does it make captions?

Yes, from your own voice, on your own computer — the audio is never uploaded. Captions can be burnt into the video or saved as a subtitle file.

Your recordings stay with you

Video, audio and transcripts are written to Videos\Nest Recorder on your own machine. Transcription runs locally, so the audio never leaves the computer. A free Nest account is needed to record; after signing in the app keeps working offline for 14 days at a time.
